Dates for Reports and Parents' Evenings

S1

In October there is a settling-in report to check that pupils are settling well into all their courses. If difficulties are identified the Guidance Teacher contacts the parents.

A Parents' Evening is held in November.

Reports are issued in May.

S2

A review of progress of S2 pupils is carried out in November. (Guidance teachers receive reports from teachers on any pupil causing concern. Parents receive letters to let them know of any difficulty.)

Reports are issued in February. These include indications of potential in each subject for the choice of courses in S3 are issued at the same time.

A Parents' Evening is held in February.

S3/S4

Reports are issued in December of S3.

A Parents' Evening is held in March of S3.

Reports are issued in June of S3.

A Report is issued in January of S4, (with the results of the prelim exams).

A Parents' Evening is held in January of S4.

S5 & S6

Tracking reports are issued in September, December and April.
They indicate the pupils' targets and their progress towards them.

A Parents' Evening is held in January.
This gives an opportunity for progress in courses to be discussed with parents before the prelim exams.

A Report is issued in March, (with the results of the prelim exams.)

"Extra" Parents' Evenings

For parents of P7 pupils - in May/June (2 evenings)
For S2 Choice Questions - in Feb/March
For S4/5 Choice Questions - in Feb/March
In addition the School Association organises Parents Meetings on “Going to University/College”, The Finances of University/College, Changes to Examinations etc.
